Mathematical Problems in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Whether it is dealing with Avogadro's constant, understanding voltages or calculating the probability of heredity, students can have difficulty with a range of scientific concepts. Students often struggle to make the connections between biology, physics and chemistry, as well as the role that maths plays in each.

What We Offer

In primary school or Gymnasium, formulas are often gone over too quickly or not covered at all. At Perspectiva Nova, we go much further, by deriving the mathematical formulas together with our students. This gives them a solid foundation, which we can build on top of, helping to keep their motivation high.

Recognizing Relationships

Biology, physics and chemistry are not abstract fields – they directly affect people. It's unfortunate that when we first start working with some students, they tell us that they have no idea what these subjects are about.

What We Offer

We often start working with students before the exam period. When we begin tutoring, we sometimes find that the student is bored by the material. Once we explain the subject and the connections more thoroughly, we find that many students start to develop a keen interest. We design our lessons to keep students curious about the subject, explaining the connections and fascinating details. This helps to boost a student's motivation and create effective learning patterns for examinations. We place great importance on helping students to recognize the relationships in the subject matter, developing integrated thinking rather than memorization learned by rote.
