Probationary period support at grammar school

The probationary period is one of the most challenging phases after entering a public grammar school. During this first semester, the focus is often on subjects such as maths, German, chemistry, physics, biology, French, English and Latin. Challenging examinations are often held in these subjects, in which poor grades are not uncommon.

Our probationary period support specifically helps pupils to fulfil the requirements of secondary school. This includes

• Understanding of the material: We help students to understand and apply the complex subject matter. As grammar schools often do not have traditional teaching materials, but rather work with scripts, we provide support in the correct use of these materials.
• Clarification of expectations: What does the teacher expect? How do I deal with the learning objectives? These and similar questions are at the centre of our support.
• Self-organisation and learning strategies: We teach effective methods for better structuring everyday life at grammar school, efficiently mastering the learning material and preparing for exams in a targeted manner.
